Inside Our Design Process: From Sketch to Street
At the heart of every standout look is a story - one that begins long before it hits your wardrobe. For us, fashion isn’t just about putting together materials and colors; it’s about capturing a moment, a movement, a mood. Our design process is an ongoing dialogue between street culture, self-expression, and the bold individuality of those who wear our pieces. From the first pencil stroke to the final stitch, we pour intention into every detail.
Inspiration Starts Everywhere
Our process starts far from the studio. We draw ideas from bustling markets, underground art shows, local street scenes, online subcultures, and even the quiet contrast of everyday chaos. It’s never just about following trends - we look deeper. What are people really wearing? What feels authentic? What sparks attention without trying too hard? These are the questions that shape our direction.
Moodboards are our first visual playground. Here, clashing ideas collide: texture studies, color palettes, silhouettes that speak rebellion or restraint. We don’t chase uniformity. We embrace tension - between sharp and soft, structure and flow, bold and minimal. That’s where fresh thinking happens.
Sketching the Story
Once inspiration is captured, the sketching begins. Each line represents more than just shape - it’s movement, purpose, and personality. We don’t rush this stage. Sketching is where experimentation breathes: exaggerated sleeves, asymmetric hems, clean necklines, boxy shapes, fluid cuts. Every silhouette is tested against one question: does this stand out without screaming?
We sketch with intention, aiming to create pieces that don't just exist, but belong - on streets, in stories, across moments. We think about fit early, knowing that a striking design means nothing if it doesn't drape, hang, or move right. We envision real people wearing these looks - not mannequins.
Fabric as a Language
With form defined, we turn to material. To us, fabric isn’t just a backdrop - it’s a voice. We explore natural blends, rich textures, and light-weight flows that feel good on the skin but photograph even better. Breathability, fall, weight, and finish guide every choice. The goal is to complement the shape, never overwhelm it.
We experiment with washes, dye techniques, and tactile contrasts - bringing layers of depth without clutter. A good design starts on paper, but it only truly comes alive once it touches fabric. That touch is everything. It has to feel like it belongs in your world.
The First Stitch
After the sketch and textile align, sampling begins. Our sample stage is a mix of art and fine-tuned math. This is where precision matters. We test proportions - how long should that crop be? Should the sleeve sit higher on the shoulder? Does the fall enhance movement or restrict it?
We drape samples on real bodies to understand how each piece performs off the hanger. Does it empower? Is it effortless? We revise endlessly. Sometimes that means going back to sketch one. Other times, it’s just a stitch, a hemline, or a slight shift in structure that transforms everything.
This stage is where the vision gets challenged. Not everything looks as good in form as it does in theory - and we’re okay with that. Design is not about ego. It’s about editing bravely.
Color, Print, and Attitude
Once we land the right structure, we dive into color stories and printwork. We experiment with tones that speak to the season—but also to rebellion. Our palettes blend contrast and cohesion: earthy meets electric, muted meets vivid. We don’t do safe, but we don’t do loud without cause either.
Prints are never random. They’re expressions - sometimes abstract, sometimes nostalgic, sometimes loud enough to spark a conversation before you say a word. We test placement and scale obsessively. Every design is meant to frame the wearer’s personality, not distract from it.
Fit Testing and Real-World Checks
Before a piece is finalized, we test it in real life - on the move, in different light, across different shapes. Does it still feel like you at 8am and 8pm? That’s our standard.
Comfort and style go hand in hand. We don't believe you should ever have to choose. Every button, stitch, pleat, or dart is intentional. Every adjustment is made to amplify confidence and ease.
From Studio to Street
Finally, the piece is ready to meet the world. But even then, the journey isn’t over. We’re constantly watching how people wear, re-wear, and remix our collections. That’s the real reward: seeing our designs come alive in different ways on different people.
Because that’s our mission - to create fashion that moves with you, speaks for you, and reflects you. Not just on the runway. But on your street, in your life, in your moment.
